About Us

What once was a derelict reminder of an agricultural legacy has now been transformed into two luxurious holiday retreats, each capable of accommodating up to six guests. The barns have been the subject of much hard work throughout their life, and the latest incarnation of this seventeenth century barn is no exception. Every detail of the barns now truly reflects the high standards expected by our guests during their stay.

The barns are situated in King’s Meaburn, a small village in a hidden corner of the Eden Valley between the Lake District and the Westmorland component of the Yorkshire Dales.

The building has been sympathetically updated with respect to the local vernacular whilst the interiors of both cottages exhibits a unique, fantastical mix of old and new. This Grade II listed building subtly promotes its ancient features whilst also encompassing the contemporary.

An accessible hideaway, the barns allow their guests the opportunity to relax in luxurious surroundings following a hard day on the fells, or the pub, as permitted by the Cumbrian weather. Both barns are ideally situated with easy access to the nearby upper Lune and Eden valleys. The barns also boast excellent views as far as Blencathra and High Street in the Northern Lakes and the magnificent Howgill Fells to the south.

As well as exploring these nearby landmarks, you can also walk, run and cycle straight from the doorstep. We would be happy to advise you of the local nooks and crannies which are available to you during your stay.
